Julie has an extensive knowledge and understanding of animals. She has owned dogs, cats, chickens, horses, rabbits and birds to name a few. If someone has thought of it as a pet Julie has owned or cared for it at some stage in her life.
Julie is an affiliated member of the British Institute of Professionals Dog Trainers holding a Grade 1 (honours) Certificate in Instructional Techniques. She is also a member of the Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme and an Approved Dog Trainer with the DTC.
She owned and managed Central Dog Warden Services for many years and the main duty of the company was to provide a Dog Warden service for 2 local councils.
In 17 years she ensured that all of the animals in her care were treated as her own and a safe new home was found for all of those that were able to be re-homed. Quite an achievement especially in today's climate.
Julie has a comprehensive knowledge of dog training with an extensive background in instruction having been assisting people to train their dogs for over 40 years.
In 2018 Julie was honoured to be asked to judge the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Bronze test at the worlds biggest and most famous dog show, Crufts.
Hayley has owned dogs all of her life, often joking that she comes second in her mothers eyes to the dogs of the household! Also owning cats, small animals and horses, she has grown up surrounded by animals.
Hayley spent many years competing in dog obedience within the Kennel Club Junior Organisation, and then trained multiple dogs through all levels of the Good Citizen Dog Scheme.
After taking a break from competitive dog training she spent a few years competing with her horse on the Pony Club and Showjumping circuits across the midlands.
A Driving Instructor by day, Hayley has been teaching at Waggie Walkers since its opening, and is proud to own a very spoilt rescue Collie Crossbreed; Rocky. She is also on the A1 list of Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme Judges, qualified to judge up to Gold level.
Nigel manages our online Pet Supplies Shop; Mobile Pet Supplies but can also be called upon to help with animal care.
He has been involved with Central Dog Warden Services and has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge in dog legislation.
Through this work he has been involved with rescue work and can be found helping with transport runs, home checks, and assistance to new owners in settling their new family member into their home.
He has had dogs of his own since he was 9 years old and can often be found training his German Shepherd Dogs. He also has years of hands on experience with Burmese Show Cats (and their owners!!).
Tony has been teaching with Waggie Walkers for around 4 years. He started by attending our training classes with his dog, Bentley (who can usually be found begging at the kitchen counter waiting for his weekly share of sausages!).
Tony trained Bentley through all 3 levels of both the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme, and the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers. Bentley is now regularly used as our "demo" dog.
Tony also trains in Agility, Gundog Training and Property Search with Bentley.
